Credit crunch – a term we are all too familiar with and sick of! One year on from its inception and its clear we are going to have to rename it as its likely to be with us for another 12 months more. The press will no doubt take care of this but I think I speak for everyone when I say I hope they find something else to talk about - soon. Rant over!
Our office figures for the last twelve months are telling us that letting enquiries are up 18% but overall instructions are nearly double this at 38%. This is the knock on effect of the difficult sales market and tighter borrowing parameters but still encouraging to know we have more people wanting to let property in Central London than last year.
Greater choice for tenants means landlords must compete with each other harder than ever before, prices will remain strong for properties in the right area and correctly presented. We can provide you with ideas and examples of how to do this as well as a realistic valuation of your property in today’s market.
